1 Timothy 2:1–6 (ESV)
Pray for All People
2 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time.
Pray for your church leaders, pastors, shepherds, ministers, deacons, Sunday school teachers, nursery workers. They all play a role in joining God as He pursues His desire of people being saved and coming to the knowledge of the truth.
Don’t leave out our President Obama. He certainly needs the blessing of our prayers as we request God to place those around him who will display that fearing God is the beginning of wisdom. He needs this no less or no more than pastors, preachers, elder/shepherds or deacons.
We may all be at a different level of spiritual maturity in Christ or in regard to Christ but we are all sinners. Some who have found the truth, others who need the light of Christ to shine through you lives.
More on shining in an upcoming post!
