Psalm 18:28 (ESV)
28 For it is you who light my lamp;
the Lord my God lightens my darkness.
I have been watching the unfolding events in our country, not just in recent weeks, but over the last few years. There are many concerns that are emerging in many areas. Our country is experiencing increased violence, trauma and sickness. It is evident that evil and sin are everywhere around us.
I am compelled to invite you and anyone else to join my family and I at 8pm (4/18/2013) around the fountain in Rockwood at Homecoming Park (the corner of Rockwood Street and Front Ave).
Let’s exercise our right as American Christians to gather publicly. Let’s exercise our rights as citizens in God’s Kingdom to come before Him together in repentance, and prayer for our sins and appeal to our Father for protection and guidance as the Body of Christ.
I believe that prayer changes us into people that God uses to perform His will.
I believe that prayer prepares us for God’s purpose.
I believe that God listens to the cries of His people.
This is completely an informal invitation. If you know others that you would like to invite, please do so.
